The victim of the accident at Bishan yesterday is one of my relatives. It's really sad..though I am not close to them and in fact I only got to know the daughter this chinese new year when they came visiting. She is a very pretty girl and around my age. Very friendly and sweet...I heard the news over 933 yesterday afternoon, that there was this major accident at Bishan and one lady was trapped in the car and civil defence had to get her out. She was unconscious by the time she was out. But I never expected it to be one of my relatives. It came as a shock when I got a call from my dad yesterday that he was at the hospital visiting her. She was not out of danger yet yesternight...She is quite badly hurt..one of her leg is broken, her bladder is damaged and her face is bruised with shattered glasses from the windows of the car.I am not sure about her condition now..praying that she will be alright.
Its scary when you heard the news and later on found out that its your relatives..its saddening. the feeling is not the kind of intense saddness cos afterall its not someone that close but yet it brings this grey cloud above those in my family who had seen her this cny. The impact is not that great but yet it somehow crawls within us that we feel this tinge of fear. If it could happen to someone so close to us, could it happen to us? Life is really vulnerable and we really should appreciate all around us..I know it sounds cliche but its true...Sigh...So many things happening around me...Hope everything is ok for everyone soon.
My UROPS is finally coming to an end...left some 'housecleaning' to do in the report and a presentation on 1st april..Hope I wun screw it up..
